Ministry Induction Training for Public Service Internship Programme Cohort VII Interns
The Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes today conducted the Induction Training for Interns under the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP), Cohort VII — a remarkable initiation into the heart of public service.
Held at the Ministry’s offices, the training offered the young professionals an in-depth journey into the architecture of government operations. From detailed presentations about the Ministry's structure and its pivotal role in national governance to interactive sessions outlining each department’s specific functions under the current Executive Order, the interns were immersed in a world that shapes day-to-day service delivery to millions of Kenyans.
Poised to walk the corridors of leadership, purpose, and public duty, they have gained clarity not only on where each department is physically located, but also on how each contributes to the greater tapestry of national development.
With eyes set on Kenya’s long-term aspirations, the interns were also introduced to the Government’s Development Agenda — from the UN SDGs, Africa Union Agenda 2063, East African Community 2050, Kenya Vision 2030 blueprint to the transformative Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). These sessions were more than just lectures; they were calls to purpose. They helped the intern officers connect their daily responsibilities to the broader goal of nation-building, infusing a sense of pride and accountability into their budding careers.
As they now disperse into various departments within the Ministry, carrying the torch of commitment and youthful energy, we extend our best wishes to them — and to all interns across government institutions — as they serve the citizens of Kenya with integrity, innovation, and impact.
