Monday 09/06/2025
The Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes, Hon. Geoffrey Kiringa Ruku, today flagged off a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Caravan in anticipation of the upcoming African Public Service Day celebrations, set to take place from June 10th to 12th June at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
He was joined by the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, in launching this impactful initiative.
The CSR Caravan commenced with a visit to Kibera Primary and Junior School, where sanitary kits were distributed to girls and boxers to boys. The team continued to Joash Olum Primary School and Heidemarie Primary and Junior Secondary School, providing similar hygiene packs to promote personal cleanliness among learners, particularly those from underserved communities.
This noble gesture embodies the core values of public service, working collectively for social good, uplifting communities, and championing equal opportunity and dignity for all. By addressing essential needs, especially among vulnerable groups, the Ministry reinforces its commitment to improving the lives of citizens through meaningful action and compassionate leadership.
