CS Public Service Hon. J.B. Muturi advocates for NYS transformation during his working tour of NYS Turbo Field Unit

Cabinet Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Hon. Justin Muturi, emphasized the commercialization of the National Youth Service (NYS) as a cornerstone for achieving President William Ruto's vision of training 100,000 recruits annually. The CS said this during his visit to the Turbo NYS Field Unit in Kakamega County, where he oversaw the planting of 10,000 tree seedlings including 2,000 fruit seedlings. The CS highlighted opportunities for revenue generation, such as Turbo’s clean water production, as key to NYS’s self-sustainability and broader impact.

Addressing NYS servicemen and women, Hon. Muturi stressed the importance of patriotism, discipline, innovation, and service orientation—values integral to NYS's transformation. The event was attended by NYS Deputy Commandant General Mr. Jamlick Chabari, Huduma Kenya CEO Mr. Ben Kai Chilumo, and members of the community
