CS Hon. B. Muturi Commends NYS Technical Training College Mombasa for Empowering Youth with Vital Skills

During his grand tour of the NYS Technical Training College in Mombasa, located in Mtongwe near the Navy base, the Cabinet Secretary Hon. Justin B. Muturi accompanied by PS Amos Gathecha were taken through an impressive array of courses offered at the institution. These programs are designed to equip the youth with critical skills and knowledge aligned with the government’s bottom-up transformation agenda.
Among the courses offered are Automotive Engineering, Electrical and Electronics (Power Option), Mechanical Production and automotive, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and Cilvil engineering among others each program is tailored to address the growing demand for technical expertise in various sectors, ensuring that young people are prepared for both employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Speaking while addressing the staff and servicemen and women, the Cabinet Secretary expressed his admiration for the institution's work in equipping students with practical, job-ready skills. He urged Service Men and Women to take advantage of the training.He emphasized that the hands-on training offered plays a crucial role in advancing the government's mission to empower the youth and promote sustainable economic growth at the grassroots level, positioning graduates to contribute significantly to the nation’s industrial and infrastructural development.
