CS Calls on Public to Collect Unclaimed IDs and Documents at Huduma Centres across the Country
Hon. JB Muturi has urged the public to collect their already processed identification documents including IDs, birth certificates, and driving licenses from Huduma Centres as thousands remain uncollected. A case like Huduma centre Thika has over 10,000 uncollected Identity Cards. While birthcerticates over 2,800 and uncollected driving licences are over 6,000.
Speaking at Huduma Centre Thika, the centre which is strategically located and quite busy serves a huge population. The centre has achived a customer rating of 87.5% customer satisfaction. Cabinet Secretary Hon. JB Muturi praised the staff for their dedication, particularly in providing counseling and wellness services for both customers and staff. He highlighted the importance of staff's service in shaping the government's image and urged them to maintain professionalism and courtesy.
Hon. Justin B. Muturi also commended the Huduma Mashinani outreach program, which extends services to local communities. CS encouraged staff to continue their outstanding work in serving customers with the utmost excellence. "Your dedication plays a vital role in creating an environment where every customer feels valued and appreciated." In his closing remarks, he urged the media to encourage the public to collect their processed identification documents, such as IDs, birth certificates, and driving licenses, as many are uncollected, overwhelming Huduma Centre's storage capacity.
