BUILDING A MODERN AND EFFICIENT PUBLIC SERVICE FOR NATIONAL PROSPERITY

CS Muturi, joined by PS Gatheca, chaired a high-level meeting with senior ministry officials today, to strategize on the implementation of the Public Service Human Resource Management and Development Bill, 2024, which was approved by Cabinet last Tuesday. The Bill sets a foundation for uniform norms and standards in human resource management across national and county governments, ensuring a more professional, transparent, and efficient public service.  

The CS emphasized that the Bill introduces structured career progression, a centralized Human Resource Information System, and the Public Finance Management (Training Revolving Fund) Regulations, 2024, to provide affordable training opportunities for public servants. CS Muturi reiterated the government's commitment to fostering ethics, integrity, and performance management, ensuring that public officers remain accountable while improving service delivery for all Kenyans.
