Summit for HRM Directors and Deputy Directors
Today morning, at Sarova Whitesands in Mombasa County, Mr. Amos Gathecha , the Principal Secretary State Department for Public Service presided over a summit for HRM Directors and Deputy Directors organized by the Institute of Human Resource Management. The summit brings together HR professionals who are critical in the management of human resource practices in Public Service. The PS underscored the forum's role in unifying HR Professionals to manage the public service's most valuable asset—its employees. He highlighted the crucial role of HRM Directors in enhancing service delivery through effective performance management. Emphasizing the need for a public service that is agile, adaptive, resilient, and efficient, he called for a strong focus on mental health. This approach, the PS affirmed it was vital for fostering a productive workforce which is key on advancing the Government's Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
