PS Imbunya Presides Over 5th National Mental Wellness and Counselling Conference
The Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Associate Professor Jane Kere Imbunya, was the Chief Guest at the 5th National Mental Wellness and Counselling Conference held at Ole Sereni Hotel, Nairobi.
The conference, brought together stakeholders from government, the private sector and the mental health and counselling sector to promote dialogue on workplace wellness and employee well-being.
The PS was accompanied by the Secretary, Counselling Services, the Director of Counselling Services and staff from the Directorate of Counselling Services.
The forum provided a platform for participants to engage, connect, share experiences and explore practical approaches to strengthening mental wellness in the workplace.
Mental wellness is a key pillar of healthy and successful living. It supports productivity, strengthens relationships and contributes to a positive and peaceful working environment. Workplace wellness therefore goes beyond strategic discussions; it also involves creating intentional spaces for people to recharge, connect and reset.
The State Department, through the Directorate of Counselling Services, continues to champion workplace wellness and promote an environment that supports the mental and psychosocial well-being of public servants.
