PS Imbunya Graces National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service for Uniformed Officers

Public Service and Human Capital Development Principal Secretary, Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, today joined uniformed and disciplined service officers and their families at the Holy Family Minor Basilica in Nairobi for the Annual National Joint Prayer and Thanksgiving Service.

The solemn interdenominational gathering led by Rt. Rev. George Muthaka, Bishop of Garissa and Chaplaincy In-Charge for Uniformed Services  brought together security officers from various formations for collective reflection, spiritual renewal, and thanksgiving.

In her address, Dr. Imbunya applauded the unwavering commitment, courage, and sacrifice demonstrated by the officers in safeguarding the nation every day. She underscored the importance of anchoring public service in values of faith, unity and integrity, reminding them that true victory and protection come from God. Quoting Proverbs 21:31

“The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord”  she encouraged officers to continue serving with humility, devotion and trust in divine guidance.

The service urged officers, their families and the wider community to embrace gratitude, compassion and mutual care as foundations for national peace and stability.
