CS RUKU CALLS FOR PROFESSIONALISM AND MERITOCRACY AS 1,130 HR PRACTITIONERS CERTIFIED
Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes, Hon. Geoffrey K. Ruku, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to cultivating meritocracy, professionalism, and excellence across both the public and private sectors.
Speaking as the Chief Guest during the 6th Certified Human Resource Professionals (CHRP) Certification Ceremony held at the National Expo Dome, Jamhuri Park, Nairobi, the CS congratulated the newly certified professionals, noting that their accreditation marks a major milestone in strengthening human capital development in Kenya.
“Congratulations to all Certified Human Resource Professionals who have been certified and gazetted today. The Government of Kenya, under the leadership of H.E. President William Samoei Ruto, remains committed to promoting professionalism and competence in all sectors as a cornerstone of national transformation,” said Hon. Ruku.
The event, organized by the Human Resource Management Professionals Examination Board (HRMPEB), saw 1,130 professionals awarded CHRP certification — a significant step toward enhancing talent management and institutional capacity in Kenya and beyond.
The CS commended HRMPEB for its commitment to innovation and inclusivity through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) framework, which enables professionals with practical experience to gain formal recognition.
“HRMPEB has demonstrated commendable innovation in integrating Recognition of Prior Learning as part of promoting inclusion and equity in the human resource profession. This aligns with our ministry’s goal of ensuring no talent is left behind in Kenya’s transformation journey,” Hon. Ruku added.
Representing the Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, was Secretary for Human Resource Services, Dr. Jacob Mbijjiwe.
Among those certified from the State Department for Public Service were CHRP Stephen Wambua (S/HRD), CHRP Azenath Hamisi (PSR), CHRP Flavian Ayuma (HRMs), and CHRP Mcharo Mwaresi (HRMs)
